Welcome to Rajblog

Summary: Introducing my new personal blog built with Eleventy - a space for thoughts on technology, culture, and life.

Welcome to My Digital Garden

After years of writing scattered thoughts across various platforms, I've finally built myself a proper home on the web. Welcome to Rajblog - my personal corner of the internet where I share thoughts, observations, and discoveries.

What You'll Find Here

This blog will cover a range of topics that interest me:

  • Technology: From software development insights to commentary on the latest tech trends
  • Culture: Observations on how we live, work, and connect in our digital age
  • Politics: Analysis of current events and their broader implications
  • Books: Reviews and reflections on what I'm reading
  • Life: Personal essays and musings on the human experience

Why "Technology Sucks"?

You might notice my tagline: "Technology sucks". This isn't meant to be pessimistic - quite the opposite. It's a reminder that despite all our technological progress, we still face fundamental human challenges. Technology is just a tool, and like any tool, it's only as good as how we use it.

The best technology is often invisible - it just works, solving problems without creating new ones.

Built with Eleventy

I built this site using Eleventy, a fantastic static site generator that gives me complete control over the output while keeping things simple. Some features I'm particularly excited about:

  • Fast, static-first: No JavaScript required for the core experience
  • Full-text search: Powered by Pagefind for lightning-fast client-side search
  • Multiple feed formats: RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds available
  • Accessible by design: Semantic HTML with proper ARIA roles and focus management

The Road Ahead

I'm planning to write regularly about topics that spark my curiosity. Some upcoming posts I'm working on:

  1. Why static sites are having a moment (again)
  2. The art of digital minimalism
  3. Book review: The Design of Everyday Things
  4. Setting up a robust development workflow
